Many landlords work irregular hours and may not be reached around the clock. But first, clarification must be made between the Direct Enquiry and Enquiry Booking systems.
Enquiry Booking: If the reply takes longer than you’d expect, we recommend that you call the owner directly. Contact details can be found on the listing at the top left under "Contact Information". If you don’t reach anyone or receive a reply within a few days, you should contact us. We will also try to get in touch with the landlord. If you urgently need an answer, you should look for an alternative holiday.
Another option is to choose an accommodation that you can book by Direct Enquiry or directly online. The Online Booking booking system avoids a possibly lengthy request process with the property owner, as well as time spent waiting for a response.
Direct Enquiry: Landlords should reply with 24 hours of the enquiry being made. Should they fail to reply, they will have another 24 hours to confirm your booking. In this second 24-hour period, if the landlord confirms your booking, you ultimately have the choice as to whether you wish to confirm the booking. If the owner does not reply with a 48-hour time period, the booking request will be cancelled without cost.
