Hamburg Boat Tours
Water plays a central role in Hamburg. With the Hamburg Harbour, this city is home to Germany’s largest sea harbour, which connected the lower River Elbe with the North Sea. Other waterways and canals join the city with the Baltic Sea, the hanseatic city of Lübeck and other cities on the Elbe.
You can explore the harbour area with the boat lines and ferries of the HADAG. The harbour ferries connect various parts of the city. They are jointly operated by HADAG and the Hamburg Transport Association (HVV), which means that you can simply by a normal HVV ticket. HADAG also carries out three different tours, including the great harbour tour, a tour along the lower River Elbe and charter tours for special occasions. Ticket prices for tours start at €16.00.
The inner city and Speicherstadt can also be explored by boat, thanks to Alster Tourism . On the famous Alster steam boat you can travel down canals and other fantastic Hamburg waterways. Cruises across the Outer Alster are also part of the services on offer and enable gorgeous views of the Alster Park and refreshments in Winterhude, before setting back off to the starting point, Jungfernstieg.
